Simplifying Bulk Post Scheduling in Social Planner
Effectively handling a growing social media presence calls for a methodical approach to posting across various platforms. The Bulk Scheduling feature in Social Planner simplifies this process, saving time by eliminating the need to manually post one by one. To make the most of this feature, it's important to follow key guidelines when importing a CSV file into Social Planner.
Key Requirements for CSV Import:
1. Date and Time Column
Format the date and time as YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm:ss, with a space separating the date from the time.
The column header should be postAtSpecificTime (yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss).
It is recommended to schedule posts for at least 10 minutes after uploading the CSV file.
Note: The time must follow the 24-hour format.
2. Content Column
Include captions and hashtags.
The column header should be content.
Adhere to the following character limits for each platform:
Facebook Page/Group: 62,000 characters
Instagram Business Account: 2,200 characters
LinkedIn Page/Profile: 3,000 characters
Twitter: 280 characters
Google My Business (GMB) Location: 1,500 characters
3. Link Preview
Include a URL for link previews.
The column header should be link (OGmetaUrl).
Note: If other media like images, GIFs, or videos are included, they will override the link preview.
4. Image URL Column
Add URLs for images with the column header imageUrls.
Up to 10 images can be added, separated by commas.
Ensure the images are in supported formats like PNG or JPEG.
5. GIF URL Column
Specify the URL for a GIF in the gifUrl column.
6. Video URL Column
Provide URLs for videos under the videoUrls column.
Up to 10 videos can be included, separated by commas.
Steps for Bulk Scheduling:
1. CSV Upload
Open Social Planner and select “New Post.”
Click “Upload CSV” and choose the file.

2. Select Platforms

3. Monitor CSV Status
Track the CSV's status:
In Progress: The system is processing the content, links, and media.
In Review and Schedule: Review and adjust any posts with errors.

4. Review and Fix Errors
Check for errors and make the necessary corrections before finalizing the posts.

5. Import Posts
Once all issues are resolved, import the posts into Social Planner.

6. Dashboard View
The Social Planner dashboard distinguishes between posts uploaded via CSV and those created in the Post Composer.
